My Style Portfolio

Dressing is something that has always come naturally. I want to look and feel like myself. I am not conservative by any means, but at almost 40, I feel like there are guidelines to looking age appropriate. Too much of anything just looks too overdone.

My biggest passion right now is helping to dress woman of all ages for work. I believe that fashion in the workplace does need to exist! In the past, too many things have been glanced over because style and fashion were underrated. Over the last maybe decade or so, being too "casual" became chagrin. Expectations are higher, and we have access to so many choices. Too many! It's hard to know what to buy, what to wear to work, and what looks presentable and fashionable. We all have our casual weekend wardrobe, but that's usually different than what we wear Mon-Fri. When I'm shopping for work attire, I pick out pieces that are (1) Stylish but not overly trendy (2) Professional, (3) Convertible; meaning, how many things can I wear this with? I like to pick out an outstanding piece that I know I can easily build around. Accessories always make the most of of any outfit. A rule of thumb for me when accessorizing is to pick a focal point. Just like clothing, chose a particular area you want to draw attention to, and keep the rest simple!
